According to Bild, Jude Bellingham, who was a target for both Manchester United and Liverpool, has decided to stay at Borussia Dortmund for another season (via the Mirror). Due to his remarkable development, the 18-year-old midfielder has become one of the most sought-after players.
Bellingham moved to Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City in the Championship in the summer of 2020 for roughly £20 million. Despite his youth, the Englishman is regarded as one of the top midfielders in the world, and has been connected with Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United. The 18-year-old midfielder will, however, continue at the Westfalenstadion for at least another season, according to the aforementioned source. Bellingham will be in his third full season with Borussia Dortmund in 2022-23. He has already established himself as a first-team member of the squad, having appeared in 80 games for the club, scoring 10 goals and assisting 16 times in all competitions.
His outstanding performance in Germany has earned him a place in England's team. Bellingham now has ten caps for the Three Lions and was a member of their Euro 2020 side that reached the tournament's finals. There is presently no pressure on Borussia Dortmund to sell Jude Bellingham to either Manchester United or Liverpool. The club has a deal with the 18-year-old midfielder through the summer of 2025. According to sources, the deal does not include any release clauses that may be exploited by overseas clubs.
